Quinn Barton
Biography
Quinn Barton joined 400CM in November 2020 and is currently Head of CMBS and CRE Strategy. In this capacity, he is responsible for strategy development, investment sourcing, trade execution and risk management for the CMBS and CRE sectors. He serves as a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to 400CM, Quinn was a Managing Partner and Investment Committee member at Carmel Partners where he led Carmel’s debt investment and capital markets activities since 2009. Before joining Carmel, he was a Managing Director and Head of CMBS Trading for Banc of America Securities (“BAS”), where he was responsible for loan pricing, new issue CMBS bond syndication, secondary trading and subordinate-B-note and mezzanine distribution. Throughout his 31-year career in the commercial real estate banking and mortgage securities markets, Quinn has held numerous senior trading and leadership roles. He oversaw B-Note and mezzanine loan trading and distribution for Natixis Real Estate Capital, in addition to prior roles overseeing primary and secondary CMBS trading at both RBS Greenwich Capital and JP Morgan Chase. Quinn received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University with a concentration in finance.
